CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Faculty of Law (UP) is calling all interested students in the field of international investment law and arbitration to
participate in the 15th edition of the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court which will take place between 27-
30 June 2023 in Frankfurt.
The Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court (FIAMC) is the oldest and most prestigious student
competition in the area of investment protection law. Its focus is on the oral presentation of legal
arguments before an arbitral tribunal composed of specialists in the field. The FIAMC is unique in
that it combines the law of investment protection, one of the most modern and fastest developing
areas of international law, with the history of international law and of international trade.
International investment arbitration is becoming more relevant each year, considering its economic
impact on foreign investors and host countries. In the past five years, Kosovo has faced six multi-
million dollar claims from foreign investors before international arbitral tribunals.
This competition aims to prepare students on the most important procedural and material aspects in
the field of international investment law and arbitration and enhance written and argumentative
skills. Selected students will work as a team to prepare two Skeleton Arguments (claimant and
respondent) and then prepare for the oral hearings in Frankfurt.
